As a Timber Merchandising Mobile Equipment Operator you could be operating anything from a forklift to a truck. Arranging stock in a warehouse, loading orders or delivering onsite.

You'll also be working with people and one of the world's most environmentally friendly building materials – sustainably sourced timber.

Role

Generally, you’ll be operating equipment, however, related and complementary roles that your job could also involve, include:


  • customer service

  • sorting and grading timber

  • stock and quality control

  • managing retail office procedures and order processing.

Responsibilities

The job responsibilities vary according to the role. However, working safely at all times is essential.

Generally speaking people in this role like working with machinery and are accurate with figures.

Qualifications

Many people begin as a trainee and gain further qualifications as they go. Jobs at Certificate II or III qualification (combining on-and off-the-job training).
